Australian Partner Visas for the LGBTQIA+ Community
At Olympus Migration, we are proud to confirm that same-sex couples and members of the LGBTQIA+ community are fully eligible to apply for Partner Visas and to be recognised as a Member of the Family Unit for a wide range of Australian visa subclasses.
This is one of the most common questions we receive, and it is always our pleasure to answer with a resounding and unequivocal: “Yes”
LGBTQIA+ couples may apply under the Partner Visa program if they are Married or in a De Facto Relationship (for Partner Visas) or Engaged (for Prospective Marriage Visas).
For other visa subclasses, LGBTQIA+ couples may be included as part of the application if they are legally married or in a recognised de facto relationship, enabling them to be classified as a Member of the Family Unit (MoFU).
Our Director, Andreas Athanasiou, has successfully lodged a significant number of Partner Visas, Prospective Marriage Visas and other family-related visas for same-sex couples from around the world. We are honoured that over 30% of our clients proudly identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community—a statistic that reflects our unwavering commitment to inclusivity, equality, and respect for all individuals.
At Olympus Migration, we stand as strong and active allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. We believe that immigration matters should be navigated with compassion, dignity, and fairness. Our mission is to provide open, ethical, and transparent assistance to every client, regardless of their background, ethnicity, gender identity, relationship status, or financial circumstances.
We firmly believe that love is love, and that the world is better when we champion equality, respect, freedom, and diversity. We are committed to leaving an everlasting legacy that future generations can be proud of—one built on acceptance, pride, and genuine care for our clients.
